Phasiani lacus is and shall remain loyal to Arch Duchy of Connacht and is headed up by Lady Christiana Elizabeth Constable with a persona of a wealthy widow of a wealthy merchant from the Tudor era. The household currently has six members of which a couple of its members are founders of guilds and all practice within the arts and sciences. The household motto is “Ut, docents, et in partem usus fructus frui” – latin for “To learn, teach, and to enjoy the fruits of life and to share our experience.” Heraldry is currently is in a state of been register with the Adrian Empire.

The rules and laws are common laws that are used every day, and some of these other rules are for the betterment and enjoyment in participation at events and demos. Charter of Phasiani lacus Manerium

Contained here within is the purposed charter of Phasiani lacus Manerium,

its purpose and it laws.

In order for this charter to be valid Phasiani lacus Manerium must have five individuals of like minded that are over the age of 12. This charter is in no way connected to any other charters or laws that may govern charters, and is designed to explain the purpose and goals of Phasiani lacus Manerium (an interest group in the Tudor era) and or its chapters groups of like interest.

To encourage the development of like individuals that share in the joy of creative anachronism as artisans and merchants from 1457 to 1603 also known as the Tudor era in the regions of England, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland in the arts and sciences as Phasiani lacus Manerium main goal. We of Phasiani lacus Manerium also accept those of personas dating back to the Battle of Hastings 1066 and of other European Western Cultures from 1066AD to 1603AD to partake.

Goals

After one becomes a member of Phasiani lacus Manerium it is expected of them to a least make an attempt to enter at the journeyman's level in Adria arts and sciences competition within one year of being a individual member of Phasiani lacus Manerium.

Membership into Phasiani lacus Manerium

A. Definition

We encourage those that wish to be part of Phasiani lacus Manerium to had experience the atmosphere of the Adria for at least three months after joining the Adria. We of Phasiani lacus Manerium will not ask you to join us, but we will accept those that wish to join us after three months of participation in Adria. An application of joining Phasiani lacus Manerium in the member's scribe (email, phone call, snail mail, or in person) must be submitted and a vote by Phasiani lacus Manerium members who will determine if one will be accepted. If accepted in Phasiani lacus Manerium to individual will be informed.

Membership renewals

All members of Phasiani lacus Manerium MUST keep their memberships in Adrian Empire up to date and in good standing. If one does not, we of Phasiani lacus Manerium will keep your member name on file up to one year, (July 1st to June 30th) and therefore after one year past due your membership, the file will be deleted from Phasiani lacus Manerium files. Membership runs from July 1st to June 30. It is also recommended that life members should fill out the wavier at least once every four years and forward to Adrian Empire. This also applies to address changes as well.

To be a Member of Phasiani lacus Manerium

One must keep their membership up to date with the Adria, and should be a member of the Arch Duchy of Connacht. There is no membership fee involved in joining Phasiani lacus Manerium, however there are fees for the membership into the Adrian Empire. It will also be the responsibility of the member of Phasiani lacus Manerium to keep the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium up to date with phone number, email, and address changes if applicable. If Phasiani lacus Manerium has no way to contact you, we of Phasiani lacus Manerium cannot inform you of what is happening in Phasiani lacus Manerium. Loyalty is a must be in Phasiani lacus Manerium.

To leave Phasiani lacus Manerium

One must submit in writing - leaving Phasiani lacus Manerium - no reason needs to be given. If you have a badge or other item that is the property of Phasiani lacus Manerium or loan from a member of Phasiani lacus Manerium, these must be return at the time of leaving to the manger of Phasiani lacus Manerium. Advancements:

It is encourage that one should strive to raise themselves to a level that they choose be comfortable within Adrian Empire. Their is four different areas, each with three different levels of knighthood in Adria. Advisors of Phasiani lacus Manerium

Manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium:

The manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium shall remain in the ownership of the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium until such time that he or she may step down. It will be the manager's responsibility to appoint a new manager under the advice of the membership of Phasiani lacus Manerium, but it will be solely the the responsibility of the manager to pick a new manager to operate Phasiani lacus Manerium. The manager may appoint others of members of Phasiani lacus Manerium to be advisers to the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium.

Manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium responsiblities

Must be a member of Adrian Empire and had taken the Phasiani lacus Manerium Oath and is appointed by the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium. Will stand in whenever the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium is unavialable and serve as an adviser to the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium and may serve as an assistant manager to Phasiani lacus Manerium when appointed.

Advisement Meetings and Roundtable meetings of Phasiani lacus Manerium:

Roundtable

The roundtable meetings of Phasiani lacus Manerium will occur on the third Sunday of Feb, May, August, and November. Proxy from the members of Phasiani lacus Manerium will be allowed but must be in writing from the member of Phasiani lacus Manerium, before allowing the representative of Phasiani lacus Manerium to vote on advisements. It is strongly encourage that all members of Phasiani lacus Manerium attend the Phasiani lacus Manerium general meetings for discussions and advisements to the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium. Advisements

May take place at any given time - but usually after an event or demo. Reports to Phasiani lacus Manerium

If any officers are appointed by the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium a montly report must be sent to the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium once a month, even if it has nothing to say please use "Nothing to report on." These are due on the last day of the month. Guild reports and activities not related to Phasiani lacus Manerium does not need to be sent to Phasiani lacus Manerium but should be sent to the corresponding officer in charge of said.

Participation of Members

IT IS encourage that all members of Phasiani lacus Manerium make every attempt to attend demos and events that are hosted by the Duchy of Connacht, and by that the Adrian Empire. Mundane laws may have a possible affect for those traveling accross borders of countries and therefore it is expected that every individual of Phasiani lacus Manerium make an attempt at attending events and or demos of Connacht. Participation helps make Adria, Duchy of Connacht and Phasiani lacus Manerium grow. One should try to make at least one event and demo per year at least. For ones that do not attend an event and demo, this may be the decision of the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium to expel the like member from Phasiani lacus Manerium for lack of participation. All members of Phasiani lacus Manerium must be paid and currently of good standing to be a member of Phasiani lacus Manerium. Managers, and advisors must keep their membership in Adria current.

What is Phasiani lacus Manerium

A group of like minded individuals that share in the expierence of creative anachronism from 1066AD to 1603AD European Western Culture with primary interest in the Tudor era. Phasiani lacus Manerium is only an interest group of like individuals that hold a membership in the Adrian Empire and that Phasiani lacus Manerium does not hold any minor estate status and therefore no vote at the minor estate level.

There is currently two practices within Phasiani lacus Manerium of which are not currently official guilds of the Duchy of Connacht. These interest practices are open to all of the Duchy of Connacht and members of Phasiani lacus Manerium. Target archery practice will follow the rules set down by Adrian Empire, and private events of Phasiani lacus Manerium - usually held twice a year - are not connected to any creative anachronism groups - although will function as a Medieval Event.

Currently - sheild and badge have been submitted, however since Phasiani lacus Manerium is only an interest group, heraldry is not an issue at this time in the history of Phasiani lacus Manerium.

Camp rules - site rules - indoor event rules

In this post are rules and regulations that regulate the activities and structure of enjoying an event and of those rules that will help prevent injuries and damage property. Major rules are broken down into seperate posting while other rules are general and may be combined with previous rules set down by Adrain, Connacht and mundane rules. This is only a generlized list and can change without notice, but for the most part sets the platform so that all may have fun in creating the medieval ages without the bad effects of the medieval ages.

In setting the stage, and for the enjoyment of creative anachronism from 1066AD to 1603AD there is a few simple rules, that will help to make the event or and demo more pleasurable to yourself and ones that may become involved with you.

Mundane Rules: Adria Rules; Connacht Rules:

1.) Obey all rules set forth by country, province and city. These rules if not follow can get one kick out of an event and or demo, and may result in arrest by proper authorities. If the site is liquor free, don't bring any. All sites are drug free, so no illegal drugs please, except perscribtion medications.

2.) Obey all rules set forth by Adria. To see manuals go to www.adrianempire.org and click on library.

3.) Obey Connacht's rules and the autocrat's rules as set forth.

4.) Remember to bring passport, and or enhanced driver's licence if crossing into the USA. This is appliciable for all forms of transportation. Also don't forget to bring other legal papers as well pretaining to youth, and pets, and some goods. Please note some goods are not to be transported across the border, and one may fine a list by checking with customs.

The Ten Commandments

1.) Treat your inferiors in rank, knowledge or expience in the society as if they were your equals, treat your equals as if they were your superiors; treat officers as representatives of the king; and treat the king and queen (duke and duchess) with reverence due your sovereigns.

2.) Use medieval forms of address; if you do not know their rank, use either M'lady, or Mistress, and M'Lord or Master (adria non ranking titles).

3.) M'Lords and M' Ladies be faithful to your superiors and your word.

4.) M'Lords, honor all ladies.

5.) M'Ladies, be worthy of that honor.

6.) Touch no man's goods unasked; give and receive with grace when permission received.

7.) Be gentle to the stanger; who knows they may become future members.

8.) Raise your sword, but not your voice

9.) If completing in marshal arts let the slain man tell if he or she be slain.

10.) Reverence the royalty.

A few basic rules:

1.) Seek and ask permission if borrowing equipment

2.) Ask if you do not know how to operate equipment; very important if working in the campsite kitchen.

3.) Don't be afraid to ask questions, no manner how dumb they may sound. It can save someone from injury.

4.) If you remove item from its box by permission, when you are finish with the item please return to box and place where you have found it and inform the owner of the item.

5.) If you volunteer, please make sure that you respect what you have volunteer for. Most members are counting on you.

6.) Ask before helping, they may not need your help. And if you are helping, make sure that you follow their instructions. This will apply to most things in the camp setting up and tear down. It was in 2010 that a near accident had happen in taking down a pavilion, that one individual, without seeking information pulled out a pin that supported the walls of an eight sided pavilion, of which I Christiana and M'lady Meredith the haln almost received injury due to the pavilion falling into itself. ASK ASK and LEARN LEARN!!!

7.) Check the rules posted below and follow.

8.) If fighting in marshal arts, make sure you understand the equipment, the possiblility of been injured, and that one need be carded to the marshal art they wish to partake in.

9.) Touch no weapon, or and tool unless one is given permission by the owner.

10.) All propane devices will only be operated by its owner, and no one else, unless unattendant, than by all means turn the equipment off. This helps prevent fires or worse.

11.) Although mention below - Seek permission before lighting that cig or pipe. These are to be lit in dessignated areas, as set by the autocrat of the event. If indoor event - mundane rules will apply, so please before you light up, make SURE YOU HAVE permission.

12.) Leave no cig butt lit, and dispose of in proper manner. I Christiana do not like cleaning up after you.

13.) By all means, if you can play a musical insturment, please bring it. It is fun to have a bit of music at bard around the fire.

14.) Although cover below in more detail; please if you bring a pet, make sure that the site is pet friendly (contact the autocrat for rules to pets) and make sure that they are leashed; and that you clean up there doo doo. No one likes to set into the pets doo doo when in period clothing.

15.) When attending feast, bring your own feast gear - bowl, plate, mug, and utensils for basics.

16.) Please try hard to hide mundane items from show - after all it is a creative anachronism event and plastics were not invented than, nor were cigs known in the era that is represented.

17.) Please inform the first aider or and the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium of any medical problems that one may have - ie heart condition, diabetic, etc.

18.) Everyone in Phasiani lacus Manerium HELPS setting up and takedown - this applies to demos and events. No one wants to be last to participate or to leave. Additionally the autocrat is the last one to leave, and he or she does not want be there all day while you are packing.

19.) Restrict what is needed at an event or demo - don't overpack. Most events are only 1 full day with Friday and Sunday been setup and teardown.

20.) MAKE SURE YOUR SITE is clean or cleaner when you leave. No cig butts, cans, bottles, or whatever is left behind for someone else to clean up.

21.) If for some reason one must leave early, please let the membership know that you are leaving; everyone wants to know that they feel welcomed. If leaving for a few hours please inform the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium when you are leaving and your ETA of arrival. There may be other members that may want something from the grocery etc. stores, and this helps in conserving the enviroment as well as fuel.

22.) If one is going in to get supplies, make sure to collect either before or after monies that may be oweing to you.

23.) In most cases, it is the camper that will most likely have to take their own garbage and dispose of it at a proper location. WHAT YOU bring in YOU TAKE OUT.

24.) If borrowing gold key from Phasiani lacus Manerium - new members without a persona that are members of Phasiani lacus Manerium may borrow from the limited items - must return prior to ending of event or and demo.

25.) If you break it, please inform the person that own the item and inform, and if neccessary replace the item. Don't hide the item; take responsiblity.

26.) Dont try to fix the item unless you know how to. This can lead to injury of a member if the item is not fixed property. If it is of Phasiani lacus Manerium property, please inform the manager of Phasiani lacus Manerium, so that the item can be delt with.

27.) Any items owned by Phasiani lacus Manerium and is to be borrowed, written permission must be sought before lending item. Breakage and damage of items must also be reported, other than normal wear and tear.

Court Protocals

From time to time one may be asked to present themselves to their graces, and in during so there is a certain protocol that is involved.

If called up please exit your chair and go to the back of the rows of chairs but not via the main aisle. There you will be met most likely by a guard of the royals, and escorted up to where the graces are sitted. Once you have reach the front row, to their graces, than once in front of their graces, bow again and wait for orders to what need be done. When completed bow again and take a few steps back, than bow, and turn. Walk to the back with the guard escort, and than come back to your seat, not via the center aisle.

If court is not in session and you cross the path of the thrones within reasonable distance, bow to the thrones. If there graces are wearing crowns, you should honor than with a slight bow of your head to acknowledge their rank and presence.

People talk in court, it happens all the time, but if you want to do so, please go to the back or far edge of the assembly and keep your voice low. A lot of funny and interesting stuff takes place in court. Lots of people want to hear it, and not everyone gets a good seat. Even what seems boring is extremely important to those involved. Honor them, and in doing honor yourself.

If you are getting an award, those conducting the court will indicate that you should kneel - usually on a cushion - in front of their graces. When someone is on the cushion you know something is good to about happen.

If you need to make an announcement, bow, then ask if you ma please address the populace. If you get permission, step aside so the crown can see too and address the court in your best outside voice. Take a breath and project your voice - make it carry to the last person in the back.

Anytime you leave court bow once to those in charge before making your exit and seek their permission.

Note: Sometimes in court one may be escorted by a person who may be a knight or squire that is part of the guard. If new to the protocols follow their lead.

Gift to the royals. If presenting a gift to the royals, these gifts are from you and not of Phasiani lacus Manerium an therefore it is advisable to seek one of the royal guards and make arrangements and to be guided in presenting your gift and to be called up to present your gift to the royals.

Interviews and Photos

In the time that I have played in creative anachronism groups, many have different policies that involve the media. In short if you do not know the rules of the creative anachromisn groups, and are unsure of what to do with media, the best is to forward the media to the individual that can handle the media. In this case what would be known as the hospitalitar.

But there are private function events that Phasiani lacus Manerium may create and host that are not connected to any creative anachronism group although may be built around a Medieval theme. If in this case if media does show, please refer to Mistress Christiana, do not try to answer these questions and or have photos taken, as this can involve other members.

If you are taking photos, and wish to publish on the Internet please seek permission (written from the individuals in photo) before posting and please do not post on U-tube (There are set policies in regard to this). If is very possible that one may take a photo of a complete stranger. If posting the fun times you may had had, and there are photos involve and you are posting on Facebook, please also get permission from the individual that may be in the photo as well. Postings should be with good favor and no bad monthing of any individuals. If you have nothing good to say, than don't say it on these forms of media - the world is watching.

Campfires, candles and propane devices

Braziers and woodfires: One may ask, is it worth the effort to bring a brazier, or a portable propane fire pit. In my experience I Christiana have brought a brazier to a few events, but have found that it is one of those type of binges that is really not required. As in British Columbia and other provinces, during the summer in most cases, a fire band may be instated mundanely to protect the forest from FOREST FIRES, and in this case, wood type fires are usually banned. Also a fire cannot exceed a circumference of three feet or be higher than three feet, but with most braziers this is nearly impossible. In Connacht and from my experience most members gather around a center fire pit area, and socialize, therefore the need for a brazier for Phasiani lacus Manerium is usually not required other than our own private events.

If one does bring a brazier to an event, one should not leave the lit fire unattended, and therefore at least when the fire is burning there will be at least one person in attendance with a shovel and water to put out the fire. The brazier MUST BE on a non compositional pad, and should be 18 inches above the ground.

Candles: No candles to be left unattended while burning. If burning and not properly contained the candle will be put out. Puck candles contained in a closed application device are must less dangerous and less likely to tip over and start a fire as tappers can easily tip over when bang into. If using tapers make sure the base is heavy enough and is on a nine inch metal pie pate and not near any combustibles.

Propane devices: these must have a shut off valve, and must have one person at all times over seeing the device. Please do not leave propane heaters on all night in your tent. You may never wake up.

Smokers: definition - ones that light up cigs, cigars, and pipes. First speak with the autocrat. Most outdoor sites will allow smoking but in designated areas. Indoor public sites do not allow smoking inside, and may have rules pretaining to open doorways and window from outside. If on someone else campsite, ask permission before lightling up. Some of Adain members may be offended by your habit. Best way to deal with smoking is not to smoke. Some mundane laws may also prevent you from smoking near or around children as well. If you smoke, please find out from the autocrat where you can smoke, and please do not offend other members with your habit of smoking. Some may torerate your habit, but others will be out spoken and it is usually Christiana that receives the news about your habit. Before closing, make sure not to throw your matches, or butts on the ground. Not only are they offensive to the enviroment they can cause fires. If you smoke carry your own non combustible ashtray, and oh ye please don't leave these items laying around as they are offensive to look at, as the Medieval ages did not have cigs or cigars as these were a product introducted in the 17th century.

Other Devices: These may be other fuel using devices, but all do have the fire issue involved. Please make sure they are not left unattended and make sure that proper fire prevention is taken.

Mundane and autocrat rules: Mundane rules will superseed over all other rules for fire and fire prevention. Autocrat rules will superseed over your ideas, if you can burn or not burn. Some event sites will not allow open fires, camp fires, and or candles. Please check with the autocrat before lighting up.

Volunteer Rules

From time to time one may volunteer to do many things that may be required of them, of which some may be for the benefit of Connacht - an example would be an autocrat of an event, and or instructor which would pay back with possible points for your rolls. Other volunteering may be done for the benefit of Phasiani lacus Manerium, but all are the same. If you volunteer, please do the job that you have volunteered for be whatever the job is. Do not desert as other members are counting on you to support the event, or and Phasiani lacus Manerium, and if you are volunteering for an event as an autocrat, or feast autocrat, please inform Mistress Christiana Elizabeth Constable so that we keep a record of our own rolls of Phasiani lacus Manerium. If one is volunteering to help at an event or demo for the benefit of Connacht one should receive a participation point. Please note only one point per month for participation will be awarded.

Traveling as a group

In traveling to events and demos it is advisable to travel as a group, thus helping in case of vehicle breakdowns. It also helps in cost sharing if car pooling as well.

It is possible, that as a group we may travel beyond the sixty mile (100K) range to events and some of these events may be more than one day travel. If this is the case, we will have a meeting prior to the event - usually a week will do - either in person of by the official chat room of Phasiani lacus Manerium, pertaining to the distance, and route to be travel and where we as a group will settle down for the night. In short motel and or hotels, can be booked in advance, and in some cases the motel rooms may be equip with kitchenettes which will help greatly in cutting down cost for meals out.

A set route will be agreed on, and where we will meet, this will include if elected to do so lunch locations, and even possibility of mundane tourist site seeing.

In traveling, we shall all leave at the same time and travel together as a group, and this includes coming back, unless other plans have been made by the individual, and the individual will have to inform Mistress Christiana if he or she has other plans on the return trip. If traveling back on the return trip as a group, a phone call tree will be set up, to ensure that everyone of us has returned safely. If traveling back by a different route, and wish to inform Christiana of the route and a rough estimate time of arrival, you will be included on the phone tree, so as to know everyone within our group has returned. If we of the phone tree do not receive an answer within a reasonable amount of time, or a call from you, it will be assumed that you might have broken down, and with the aid of the map routes agreed on, we can back track to find you.

It should be noted that most states and provinces do not allow the use of any communications device by the driver while the vehicle is been driven by yourself. Therefore we cannot answer you unless we have stopped, so in this we try to keep a few miles below the speed limit on highways so as to keep together and ensure that each one of us arrives at the event and at home. If traveling internationally check under personal needs below for information.

Drinking, Drugs, and Fowl language

Phasiani lacus Manerium has suggested rules towards drinking and towards drugs.

Drinking: With changes that are occurring in mundane rules it is advisable not to drink and drive. In the past few years here in British Columbia the acceptable max level that one can consider to be able to drive is no more than .o5. If after .05 one can face loss of vehicle, stiff increase in driver's insurance, fines and licence fees, and one may be prohibited in driving for a specific time frame as set by mundane laws. If greater than .08 lost of vehicle, much stiffer fines, and a long period of not been able to drive.

In a socialization gathering, one for the must part can bring their own bottle, (commerical brought booze - no home made stuff please) and can socialize with the group at nights around the fire, and or at feast, but please remember, some sites do not allow your own brought drinks, and one must buy at the site, while others may not allow drink at all. It is usually posted if the events will allow drink and how to acquire drink or you may contact the autocrat of the event for regulations regarding drink.

Please be advised that your body weight and how much fat you have body wise will determine the effect of booze on raising to the limit. It has be noted that some can reach their limit within one drink while others may be upwards beyond three, but if you drink and wish to drive, please do not. It is for your own safety.

If attending events and demos as day events and wish to drink, please have a designated driver to drive you home. If not and the day event and or demo is near a motel or hotel or even a friend's residence: Maybe book a reservation for the night, to sleep off the effects.

Drugs: With drugs (illegal ones) Phasiani lacus Manerium will not approved of, and if one is caught, Mistress Christiana will have no choice but to report on you to mundane authorized personal. Prescribe drugs are accepted, but they to may affect your judgement, as the mundane forces are setting up more alert patrols to catch drunken drivers, and ones that use illegal drugs and if taking presription and or over the counter drugs this may also affect your judgement when one is driving.

If you are going to a day event, my suggestion (Mistress Christiana's opinion) is leave the drink and the drugs at home, and after the event once home you can enjoy these luxuries.

Foul Language: Foul Language will not be accepted, and every attempt should be made at period language and be encourage. If speaking in bad language, and I Christiana find out that you have been, I will sit down with you and explain the reason why? At events there are children, and it is advisable not to talk in foul language.

Feast Autocratting for Phasiani lacus Manerium

General Information: As this involves human consumption foods to be served at events, one should first of all if interested in been Phasiani lacus Manerium feast autocrat, make sure that you have a level one food safe. In British Columbia as long as there is one person with this qualification, others can work under this individual. I Christiana have a food safe certification under my mundane name, and if you so choose to feast autocrat a Phasiani lacus Manerium event please contact Mistress Christiana Elizabeth Constable. In pot lucks this also applies, and does not require a vote for approval of monies for purchasing food and supplies, but still requires a vote to be a feast autocrat.

In cater feast for Phasiani lacus Manerium it will require a vote from members of Phasiani lacus Manerium to vote on. Because cost is involved on purchasing food and supplies for Phasiani lacus Manerium events, there will be a vote for approval of a budget. The budget shall be presented to Phasiani lacus Manerium and shall be approved by its member before purchasing will be allowed. This means Phasiani lacus Manerium, needs to know how many are attending, members and guest, and a feast plan, along with a cost breakdown. Once approved, pending how many attend, the cost will be collected prior to the event, which will be used to cover the food cost. Cost will be divided evenly among those attending including children. There is no discount.

Cater feast will happen only within Phasiani lacus Manerium and that is subject only to its members. If you are feast autocratting for someone else, these rules are non applicable.

All Kitchen gear, and capital items remain the property of Christiana Elizabeth Constable, and one that has not work on her equipment will be instructed by Christiana on the operations of the equipment, however cleanup will be the responsibility of the feast autocrat. Propane bottles (small ones) must be added as cost towards the feast.

Equipment breakdown; If for some unknown reason there is an equipment breakdown, all gases must be turned off at the source and Christiana must be informed. DO NOT ATTEMPT to fix the problem yourself. Propane tank change outs will also be preformed by Christiana.

When is a feast a Phasiani lacus Manerium feast: When it is decided by the membership of Phasiani lacus Manerium and only than will it follow the above rules. If there is no feast involved via pot luck or cater by Phasiani lacus Manerium each and every one of the attendance of Phasiani lacus Manerium will be responsible for his or her feast including their children and guest. Phasiani lacus Manerium will not be held responsible for preparing dinner, and or breakfast and it is up to the attendees to make their own. If pot luck or cater feast, these will usually take place on Friday, and Saturday at cam pout events and may extend into Sunday pending long weekends. Please note that some events have either a pot luck gathering, cater feast and prepare your own food, and sit at the social circle. If this occurs there will not be a Phasiani lacus Manerium Feast, and everyone to their own. The equipment will not be loaned out to any personal food preparation unless it is a cater feast for Phasiani lacus Manerium. The only events that currently has this happening in are within the SCA and of that of Clinton Wars.

Call Times: One call will be put out for the Phasiani lacus Manerium Feast (Camp out events) usually the ringing of a brass bell, and since it is around the 6 to 7 PM mark it is advisable to be at the Phasiani lacus Manerium campsite. If it is a cater feast, and you have decided to pay into the cater feast, and you are not there, unless notification prior to one week, you will be require to pay your equal share along with children and guest, as food has been purchase and brought to the campsite event. If you as a member of Phasiani lacus Manerium have decided to opp out of a cater feast of Phasiani lacus Manerium one week notice min. prefer two weeks notice, your share of the monies for the feast shall be refunded, and therefore will not include you, your children or and gust, in the feast. In short you may sit in, but food will not be served to you, children and or guest. There will be no discount for children and or minors for Phasiani lacus Manerium cater feast. You as a member must register for a Phasiani lacus Manerium cater feat along with names of your children, and or guest, and must be register prior to one week prior to event. Cater feast shall be designed as a rule around Medieval feast up to the year of 1603 and shall be of western European culture.

Breakfast and Lunch: This will be left up to the members of Phasiani lacus Manerium as the feast autocrat will not be held accountable for preparing breakfast, lunch and or hot drinks and soups. It is up to the decision of the feast autocrat if he or she serves coffee, and or tea, which will be made outside the feast preparation area. If the feast autocrat, makes provisions for hot drinks, a separate area will be setup so as to prevent accidents within the food processing area.

Authorized Personal: Only the Phasiani lacus Manerium appointed feast autocrat (cater feast and pot lucks) and her or his team will be the only ones allowed in the feast preparation area other than Mistress Christiana Elizabeth Constable. The feast autocrat may choose their own helpers, and may select their own crew, but these individuals must be approved by Christiana Elizabeth Constable before assisting the feast autocrat of Phasiani lacus Manerium

Food allergic reactions: Each member of Phasiani lacus Manerium will be held accountable for providing this information to the Phasiani lacus Manerium feast autocrat or and to Mistress Christiana Elizabeth Constable of their food allergic reactions, and must be in writing. For pot lucks please provide the ingredient list used in preparing the food. This list must be presented to the Phasiani lacus Manerium feast autocrat, and should also be provided with the dish that is been served. Because of food allergic reactions - primary peanuts, and nuts, please do not serve as these as potlucks. There may also be small amounts of these items contained in processed, so please read the label before serving the product. I Christiana know of a couple of Phasiani lacus Manerium members that have food allergic problems, but non of peanut or nuts.

General Potlucks - These are held from time to time and it is advisable to include a list of ingredients for the feast autocrat, and is advisable to not serve peanuts, or nut dish, and this includes peanut oil. There is also people that may have dairy, and wheat allergic reactions as well. When preparing a pot luck for general pot luck feast, prepare enough to feed between 5 to 6 servings. For Phasiani lacus Manerium the number drops to 3 servings

Pets - No PETS will be allowed in the feast and food prep area. If there is a pet within these designated areas, the Phasiani lacus Manerium feast autocrat, and or Mistress Christiana Elizabeth Constable can have the feast preperations and feast stopped. Phasiani lacus Manerium will not make any exceptions to this rule. Check Pets - To bring or not to bring.

If feast autocrat for Connacht: Check on Connacht rules for feast autocratting, but it is recommended under that one should be certified a food safe.

Pets to Bring or not to Bring that is ye question?

This is a question that each one of us must answer to ourselves, but I Christiana would prefer that most should leave their pets at home, but if you choose to bring there are a few simple rules to follow. The first rule is obey your autocrat, as he or she will have information pertaining to bringing a pet to an event. Some event sites like that of Rock Creek Fa ire Grounds at Rock Creek, British Columbia have a mundane rule as NO DOGS ALLOWED. In keeping it has become more apparent with event sites that site owners are saying No dogs allowed. Sometimes no pets allowed.

It is not Phasiani lacus Manerium responsibility to look after your pet, and I Mistress Christiana Elizabeth Constable will not be held accountable for looking after your pet. In saying this it simply means you look after your pet and not anyone else.

I Christiana Elizabeth Constable have been asked by Autocrats of events, and I am tired of assuming this responsibility of looking for you and to inform you of the rulesand of looking after your pet. Some sites will allow pets and dogs on site, but they MUST. MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES or some other confinement as approved by mundane laws. And on speaking of leash laws, PLEASE do not tie your pet to Christiana's pavilion, or any other member's pavilion but your own unless you have permission from the owner of the pavilion in question. SO I Christiana Elizabeth Constable of ye Phasiani lacus Manerium will lay the rule down here. Please do not tie your pet to either the feast preparation, eating area, or to Christiana's pavilion.

When it comes to Phasiani lacus Manerium cater feast for its members, please be advised that the feast autocrat of Phasiani lacus Manerium does not want your pet in the food preparation area. This applies to both indoor and outdoor events, and under mundane law in food safe, NO PETS ALLOWED. It has almost happen to Christiana once in 2010 that one of the member tied his dog till a food preparation table leg, and the leash became a tripping hazard for Christiana handling hot stuff. Not only is not food safe, it is dangerous, and in saying so, if this happens again, I Christiana will have the feast autocrat of Phasiani lacus Manerium stop preparing food, until the situation is resolved. It is your pet to enjoy, not for others to enjoy.

The next is at certain sites, I Christiana still see dogs brought out to events, when it has been posted that these sites are non dog friendly. A vehicle with windows closed and in a sunny location can heat up well over 140 F and this temperature can kill pets, and children left unattended in vehicles. It is also known mundanely as cruelty to animals and there can be a hefty fine, and imprisonment as well. Therefore, strongly advised if the site is not posted as dog friendly, DON'T BRING YOUR DOG or and pet to an event.

If you still wish to bring your pet to the site, please clean up after it's do dos, as I Christiana will not look after your pet. This means simply bring a pooper scooper, and a plastic bag, and please place this in your own trash for disposal, as most sites are bring in take out sites, and I Christiana do not wish to dispose of the fecal waste. Also on subject, please keep your pet under control; as some pets insist either on pissing on other people's belongings, or marking. This includes tents, pavilions, and clothing.

Loaning of equipment and Personal Internet Connections

Internet Links: In creating the Phasiani lacus Manerium Web blogs, and the design that is involved in creating these web blogs, if one choose to create a link to their personal site, one must first be a member of Phasiani lacus Manerium with the exceptions of guilds of Connacht, Connacht web links, and Adrian links. Loaning of equipment: Phasiani lacus Manerium is limited, and must be have given permission by Mistress Christiana before loaning out. Some equipment is expensive, both her own and of Phasiani lacus Manerium that to borrow the equipment a cash deposit may be required for damage deposit. When returned undamage the deposit will be refunded.

Bing!!!

This circlet was made by Christiana in 2010, and is consider her bing! when she was know as "lady" within the Society of Creative Anachronism. Adria's rules are specific of what bing one can wear, and the who's who of who can wear the bing.

As with many different organizations, one has to follow the laws that are provided by the creative anachronism society - in this case Adria.

Crowns and circlets are a no no in Connacht or and Adrian, unless one is entitled to wear said bing. In Phasiani lacus Manerium, when approval is given at estate level, the owner manager will be entitle to wear a 1/2 inch wide circlet. The title to these individuals of household estates is known as lords or ladies. The title lord or lady, along with Mistress and Master from the Society of Creative Anachronism is non transferable and have no meaning in Connacht. It is safe to use M'Lord or M'Lady, Mistress or Master within Connacht.

Belts: Please do not wear red, (squire) blue (knight), green (man in arms) or yellow (page boy) with Connacht and Adrian. If you are entitle to wear one of these belts, it must be given unto ye as an award, or and promotion. If in the SCA avoid red and white belts.

Spurs: There is three levels of knights, and one must earn the points to be a knight which entitles the bearer to wear a blue belt but pending the level of knight will determine what metal color of spur one may wear. Silver spurs are reserved for 1st and 2nd level knights while gold spurs are reserved for the 3rd level knight. So unless you have this rank do not wear these perks.

Badges: These will be issued by Mistress Christiana, once one is accepted in Phasiani lacus Manerium and has serve an active three months within Phasiani lacus Manerium. Once Phasiani lacus Manerium is approved by there graces for estate level, and the heraldic badge is approved, badges will be issued. If leaving Phasiani lacus Manerium voluntary or by been voted out because of misconduct, one must return the badge back to Mistress Christiana, along with any belts that are green or yellow. This will only apply when Phasiani lacus Manerium has made estate formation.

Heraldic device of Phasiani lacus Manerium will remain with Mistress Christiana, once approved at the estate formation level, and will represent Phasiani lacus Manerium when attending events or demos as a whole and shall remain in the hands of Mistress Christiana till such time that she may step down.

Heradic devices flags and badges of members will remain the property of the member, but one should be at least 1st level knight before displaying, although you may still display your arms if you so choose, but be reminded that the ones higher in rank may request that you take down your device on display. Plain color flags with no markings are acceptable.

Gold Key: It is advisable that one should start making their garb after attending a couple events and not be involved in borrowing loaner garb. First off the Gold Key is limited to size and style of clothing, and second it does take room to transport to events. If borrowing gold key, one must surrended a piece of clothing that they are or will be wearing mundanely before receiving gold key, and only when gold key is return will one receive their mundane clothing item back. For gold key it is recommended to get in touch with Christiana a couple of weeks prior to an event or demo.

Persona Development Challenges

Although currently there are no persona challenges with Connacht, there is persona challenges that do happen in the Society of Creative Anachronism. For guidance on persona development chanllenge, one must first structure a fictional charater, but with historical reference to the era and culture that the challenger chooses. There are know of three challenges in the Kingdom of Antir, and each has its own set of rules and disiplines to follow. If one choose the persona challenge, one must first do the research, and there is posted on the web the requirements of these challenges that one must do. Remember if during a challenge, one must live the person that they represent for at least a min. of two days.

You will be judge on the outcome, and the point system is rather stiff, but it is a well worth rewarding expirience that one may go through. I Mistress Christiana have undergone twice two of these challenges, and I can say it is rather difficult, and can take up vast amounts of time, and energy to do. If you so wish to do one of these challenges, please contact Mistress Christiana for details that are involved if you are a member to Phasiani lacus Manerium.

For the most part Phasiani lacus Manerium will most likely not be at one of these personal challenge events, and therefore it is strongly recommended to put a team together to help you with this type of challenge. Because Phasiani lacus Manerium is no longer connect to the Society of Creative Anachanism we can no longer provide you with a fighter for your inspiration as these challenges that are known to Phasiani lacus Manerium take place in the Society of Creative Anachanism. There are two such events that are held in the Okanagan Valley, and the other on the seaboard of Washington State.

Left Something Behind

It has happen to all of us at one time or another and it might be a minor item to one that can be expensive if not ruin your trip. Trust me it has happen many time to myself, but with the adding of this web blog, I Christiana hope that this will help those that have an assent mind, when been rush at that last minute detail. I Christiana, if planning on going to a major event or even a demo, will try to get a good nights sleep, and relased before trying to load what I may need at an event or demo and hopefully remember everything that one must bring to an event or a demo. You do not want someone nagging you while you are loading, this is a sure way to forget something, and if you are lucky you will remember before getting to far, but in most cases, you have already gone to far, and as a result will most likely have to purchase the item to replace the one you have forgot, and if it happens to be at one of the tourist towns the price is usually double.

The first and I cannot stress this enough is to have your dragon check out ( mode of transportation like your car or truck or even RV) before venturing on your quest. Have all the fluids check and capped if required. Check tire pressure, and make sure there is enough fuel to get you there and back to the nearest service station. It is also a good time to have the vehicle check for any major problems that may arise. Nothing like a breakdown, especially when someone is depending on you to be there for the event or demo. If you do suffer a major breakdown and it is due to lack of attendance to your dragon, this breakdown is most likely to occur somewhere out in the boom docks, not near a service stations that can do repairs. In todays market, service stations are far apart for the most case, and can be expensive if in a tourist town. Make sure your vehicle is properly service.

Make sure that you have your prescribe medications if you have any. It can happen if at an event or demo that one can suffer, even death, if you forgot your prescription medication assuming that you are taking presribed medication.

Make sure to have all those important papers like driver licence, passport if traveling to another country, and if bringing your pet along make sure that it has its shots and vaccination papers as well. Make sure that the site is pet friendly before transporting your pet, and don't forget about your pet, if he or she is in the vehicle, as vehicles can heat up rather fast on a sunny day that may cause your pet to suffer. Their are laws (mundane) that deal with this type of situation, and does carry a fine or possible jail sentence. So the best is to leave your pet at home if you can. Oh yes if the site is pet friendly leash law will apply!!!

Pending on the event or demo one may check the list below on what to bring. You are welcome to print this web blog, to use as a guide to what to bring and what not.

Clothing and garb. Although Phasiani lacus Manerium has a limited amount of gold key, it is advisable to contact Mistress Christiana if requiring garb for the events. Christiana does not as a rule transport gold key as this takes up valued space when transporting personal items to an event or demo.

If there is tickets involved, and or membership numbers involved please bring with you. Membership proof, sometimes reduces the site fee. This is common in the Society of Creative Anachronism known as non membership fees.
